Small Business Ideas to Improve Your Profits for Minimal $$$ Cost

5 proven small business ideas to improve your profits and the best news is, they involve minimal dollars in outlay.

5 Proven Ideas to Help Your Small Business Grow

Here’s a few proven ideas to boost your sales and your profits. It makes sense to improve the number of transactions (or the number of times) your customer buys from you. It’s also a good idea to boost the average dollar sale from each of your customers.

Idea # 1

Develop or maintain a customer database. This is so you can keep in touch or  quickly  respond to sales opportunities.

Idea # 2

Stay connected with your customers – by phone, snail mail or email. While the frequency may vary, every customer should receive a ‘touch’ at least once per quarter.

Idea # 3

Make valuable customers feel more appreciated than not-yet customers or prospects. Make sure your current customers get some VIP treatment. Exclusive only to your customers programs, offers or product specials work well.

Idea # 4

Look for opportunities to sell many products or services. Educate your customers on the range of services you offer. Create checklists of typical add-on offerings for key products or services. Bundle or package products and services. Offer free trials and special offers when the customer makes their primary  purchase .

Idea # 5

Train your team in sales and service. WOW your customers with consistent delivery. Create raving fans who spend more with you and buy more often from you! On a final note, know the numbers. You must measure your sales conversion, the number of transactions or your average dollar sale, if you want to see these numbers improve . You must track them, set goals, put in place a strategy and celebrate your teams’ success. Your profits will increase as a result.
